Abigail Dellovade has accomplished something that many people only dream of—becoming the proud owner of Snapology mobile operations with her family in Ocala and Gainesville, Florida. Her entrepreneurial journey is not just about launching a business but also about creating opportunities for young minds to thrive through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). It all began with a spark of curiosity, an invitation from a friend, and a love for robotics that she discovered as a Snapology student years ago.
A Family Spark: How It All Began
Abigail first encountered Snapology as an elementary school student at Snapology of Pittsburgh. Years later, her mother, Beth Dellovade, brought Snapology back into the conversation. Beth fondly remembered how much Abigail loved the program as a child and suggested that opening a Snapology could be the perfect opportunity for her.
Abigail’s introduction to Snapology wasn’t through a flyer or advertisement but through a personal recommendation from a friend back in elementary school. "I vividly remember my Snapology classes," Abigail recalls. "It was such an amazing time; I would invite friends and family to try it out with me!" Those early Snapology classes were a revelation. Abigail discovered a fun, hands-on way to learn about robotics, engineering, and programming. The immersive, play-based learning environment sparked an excitement for STEAM subjects that she carried with her throughout her academic career. "It sparked a love for robotics and programming, which I continued to study," she says. Abigail’s natural curiosity led her to pursue more technical subjects in school.
"Snapology created a thread for Abigail," Beth shares. "She went on to join a robotics competition team at her school. She was even the head coder."
Abigail’s early experience with Snapology sparked a love for robotics and programming, guiding her toward new opportunities and eventually inspiring her entrepreneurial journey.
Her father, Jeff Dellovade, initially planned to support Abigail’s venture as a silent partner. However, after seeing the impact of Snapology and witnessing Abigail’s passion firsthand, Jeff was so impressed that he decided to become more involved.
Filling the STEAM Gap in Ocala and Gainesville
Beth Dellovade recalls a moment that underscored the need for Snapology in her community. "I was talking to a mother whose son was struggling to find a program that fit his interests," Beth explains. "I offered to look up Snapology locations because I thought it was a great fit. I couldn’t find a location anywhere close. I just thought to myself, every child needs Snapology in their area." This is when she decided to approach Abigail with the idea to open a Snapology of their own.

Snapology Mobile Operations: STEAM Learning On the Go
In 2024, Abigail and Beth officially purchased Snapology’s mobile operations in Ocala and Gainesville. Through mobile programs, Snapology delivers hands-on, engaging STEAM experiences wherever kids are—at schools, community centers, events, or birthday parties.
Snapology’s programs inspire creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking by combining play with learning. Kids can build robots, design structures with LEGO bricks, explore coding, and more, all in a supportive and fun environment. "Snapology makes STEAM approachable and exciting for kids," Abigail explains. “It’s about letting them learn through play and experimentation."
Abigail’s background in education gives her a unique perspective as she grows her Snapology operations. She understands connecting with kids and creating a positive, hands-on learning experience.
A Vision for the Future
As Abigail’s Snapology mobile operations expand, her vision is to reach as many kids as possible across Ocala and Gainesville. She’s particularly passionate about encouraging young kids to explore STEAM fields. "The future of STEAM is diverse, and I want every child to feel confident in exploring these opportunities," she says.
With her mother and father stepping into a more active role alongside her, Abigail is excited about the opportunities ahead. Together, they plan to build strong relationships with the families in their community to make Snapology a household name for STEAM education in the area.
